Street style-approved cold weather outfits

So here it is, the cold weather has finally arrived. The lightweight bomber jackets and sneakers just won’t cut it anymore. The inevitable wardrobe changeover is now going to have to take place. Most people would pull out their go to chunky knit jumper and boots which is fine but when you’re in need of retail pick me up its good to change things. Check out our outfit ideas to make you look fantastic even in subzero temperatures.

Puff the Magic Jacket

This 90s fashion staple has burst its way back onto the post millennium scene and we LOVE it. This look has been spotted on some of the biggest fashionistas in the business including Gigi Hadid & Cara Delevingne. With their backing the look can be found on the high street and on the virtual rails of most clothing websites. If you’re a bit unsure about the look but want to at least give it a try then opt for a neutral colour but if you think that this look is a bit of you then go all out…embrace the bright colours. Yellows, reds, cobalt blue, whatever you think, go nuts! Just be sure that the rest of your outfit is pretty low key so the jacket can take centre stage.

The Roll Neck Knit

It’s considered the go to, failsafe style of the Winter and rightly so. There is nothing better than getting snug in your favourite oversized piece of knitwear to help battle the elements. We wouldn’t ask you to ditch the knitwear but elevating the style is a good idea. Team the jumper up with an out there skirt or a glittery pair of ankle boots or both! Think metallic or sequins to really set this outfit off. What could be better than style and comfort all rolled up into one?

The Checked Coat

The fashion crowd are still championing the look, and according to the catwalks (and the ever-savvy style set) the versatile heritage print trend shows no sign of disappearing anytime soon. How best to wear it? A masculine style coat is your entry point to the trend. The neutral tones make it easy to style with your current wardrobe wares, plus, it will look every bit as good with chunky knits on the weekend as it will over smart tailoring for the office. Chunky coats not your thing? We’re betting a check blazer will look just as chic.
