90’s Wild Child: Fashion Revival

The 90’s trends worth embracing (and that you probably already have sitting in your wardrobe)

Regardless of whether you grew up listening to the Spice girls or not, there’s no escaping the 90’s revival. But if you’re not so keen on flashing your midriff like Britney, you can still embrace the best of the 90’s, all the while still looking like a fully-functioning adult. Think of this as your guide to the best of the 90’s, circa now.

Embrace The Iconic

Pick your poison; a classic three stripe tracksuit or a logo emblazoned across your tee.  The return of the 90’s is all about logo-mania and iconic branding. Think Adidas, Lacoste and Sergio Tacchini. These grands were all huge throughout the 90s and are still going strong now. Wearing these with some relaxed jeans would really capture the look of a someone from the 90s era.

And by that I mean your denim. After years of thigh-skimming skinny jeans it’s time to let your denim relax a little. Flared denim is also a fantastic choice of your hitting the town. Stray away from the skinny fits and go for a more daring cut of jean to make them look extra special. Frayed bottoms, stone wash and boyfriend fit are the way forward to truly complete the 90s look you’re going for.

Box Fresh

Crisp white trainers should already be a mainstay in your wardrobe, so make sure that you’re keeping them fresher than Will Smith.

Hoods Up

The hoodie is back – although this time around it’s a little bit less sloppy. For a grown-up take on the hoodie, opt to wear it under your favorite camel trench coat. This will give the hoodie a bit more of a sophisticated twist and stop you looking that relaxed that you’re horizontal.
