PS: don’t forget to go for contrast by wearing your knitwear with maxi earrings or precious, jewel-like shoes: this is the key to wearing your sweaters like a true It girl right now!
Red is the colour of the season and we think knitwear in red is always a winner, especially with Christmas just around the corner (yes, I just mentioned Christmas in October). Oversized, chunky knits are the go to for most ladies in the colder months as they are easy to throw on and keep you warm at the same time. Adding an injection of colour to those oversized knits will help you bring a little bit of Summer back to your wardrobe even if the weather outside lets you know Summer is a long way off.
Colourful knitwear is the way forward but it doesn’t necessarily have to be plain Jane. We have seen a lot of knitwear with faux fur pom poms, pearls and sequins on the catwalks and on the high street. Don’t be afraid to mix it up. If there is any time to go overkill on sequins and pearls it is the holiday season.
When thinking about adding colour to your knitwear make sure you’re not forgetting about your hats are scarves too. If adding brighter colours to your knitted jumpers isn’t your style and you like to keep it more neutral then adding colour to your accessories is the way forward. Bright cable knit pom pom hats or a vibrant check scarf could really set your outfit off.
